It’s official.  Brian Nichols will not die for the March 11, 2005 murders.  The judge just told the deadlocked jury he will sentence Nichols tomorrow morning to either life in prison with the possibility of parole or life in prison without the possibility of parole.  The jury confirmed the split was 9 for death, 3 for life.

    DISGUSTING !!

Nichols is just going to get another letter from these “Prison Girlfriends” & take full advantage of her money & her access to the “outside” to facilitate another one of his escape plans.

Who he kills in the process of his escape is just collateral damage to Brian Nichols.

Another sad day in the American Judicial System.

Quite the contrary….a very good day for American justice…hopefully this will be an impetus to get rid of the death penalty that has made America a laughing stock of the civilized world.

To think a wasted $3 million when they could have had the same exact result by accepting the plea…..this country stands alone against the civilized countries of the world which have understood for a while the death penalty accomplishes nothing.

Except for the fact that many of us that live here in this country do still believe in the death penalty in extreme circumstances, which this falls under. I DO NOT like that I will be paying to house this man for decades more when he as no remorse for what he did and he will spend his time while living off our tax dollars on planning his next escape.

I’m sorry – I don’t care how it would look to the rest of the world. The rest of the world doesn’t live here in Atlanta where this man killed innocent people.

It’s sad that someone can callously and coldly kill so many others and destroy so many more lives. It’s a shame the jury could not show the same to the admitted killer. His next escape attempt or anyone else he hurts during the rest of his pathetic life is on the shoulders of those 3 holdouts. If Nichols killed their family would they still be so blinded?

Truly a very sad day. $3,000,000 wasted when a 50 cent bullet could have ended this worthless piece of trash’s life.

Did the prosecution use a jury consultant?

Well, justice was done. Brian Nichols gets to spend every waking moment in prison. The one place he hates. Him getting the death penalty would not bring the victims back. He has to answer to God for what he has done and he said he was sorry. I hope this sentence brings closure to all of the loved ones of the victims.
