We are in the media room across the hall from the Brian Nichols trial. Today, we heard from a former Fulton County deputy. She was one of the deputies responsible for watching over Nichols during his second rape trial. (The first rape trial ended in a mistrial because the jury was hung.) This deputy just finished testifying about the bizarre behavior Nichols displayed two days before his escaped. Taking the stand now is Fulton County deputy Dexter Jenkins. He’s about to testify about the shanks he found in Nichols shoes that same day.
